Aquatics Fun Day

Come join us for a day of fun at Camp T. L. Jame's waterfront.  Never been to Camp T. L. James; this is a great time to come visit the Camp!!  Come out and enjoy the many activitys our waterfront has to offer!! Scouts are encouraged to bring a friend (guest must be 4th grade and up to attend).. So get your daypack ready for a Day of Fun In The Sun!!!   This is a one day only activity.  Units wishing to camp overnight please turn in a camp request form to the office. 

PLEASE NOTE  that per Scouting America regulations, a swim test is required by all participants or they will be classified as a non-swimmer. Some activities or swim areas are limited based on the participants's swimming ability. Those with a buddy tag or swim test record from a Scout camp this summer will not need to retake the swim test.  Life jackets must be worn for certain activities and will be provided or you may bring your own.  Please arrive early for swim tests. Swim test will start at 9:00 a.m.

We will have canoeing, paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, and swimming available, as well as other special activitys.

Date: Saturday, August 9, 2025

Location: Camp T.L. James Waterfront (105 Camp T.L.James Road, Downsville, La.)

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (swim test begin at 9:00am)

Who's Invited: Scouting America Troop members, Webelos (4th & 5th graders), youth guest in grades 4th -12th, and parents/leaders.

Price: $5.00/Scout (lunch included). Scouts are encouraged to bring a friend (4th grade or up) and guest will be free of charge.
